All you could want to know (and probably more) about Mrs. Torres.
I have lived in Whittier the majority of my life. I went to Orchard Dale, Granada, and La Serna, and I love being close to my family that only lives a mile away. I am married and have 2 kids, Emma and Aidan. I graduated from Cal State Fullerton in 2000 with my BA in History, and in 2002 I graduated from National University with my MA in Education and teaching credential. I enjoy teaching middle school, and have done so for 15 years now. Before I came to East Whittier Middle School, I taught math and science at South Gate Middle School. I am a huge fan of student yearbooks! Many people when they think of yearbooks, automatically think of high school. I show my yearbooks to my students every year. I want them to see how much I, and our society, have changed over the years. I encourage students to order a yearbook at least for their 8th grade year. However, if they can get one for each year...even better! It is amazing how much a person changes during the middle school years. Besides teaching 7th grade, I also love to travel. I have put together 2 field trips while at EWMS over the last couple of years. The first trip students and I went on was to Paris and London. The second trip was to Venice, Florence, and Rome. Below are some pictures of my kids and I over the years :)
